Here is a list of the 270 approved organ transplant centers in the United States, listed from most active to least active, on the basis of the total number of organ transplants performed in 2001, the most recent year for which complete information is available. The totals for 2000, 1999 and 1998 are included as a point of reference.

As an indicator that change is taking place in a program, totals for programs that increased their activity by more than 30 transplants from 2000 to 2001 are listed in green.

Totals for programs that decreased their activity by more than 30 transplants from 2000 to 2001 are listed in yellow.

*Keep in mind the possibility that programs may have started, expanded or contracted significantly since this data was compiled.
