Baylor Performs Its 2,000th Liver Transplant

 

 

The Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas has performed its 2,000th liver transplant becoming the third hospital in the United States to reach this milestone.

The 2,000th patient, Bradley Bower, 52, of Fort Worth, was reported in good condition.

"We are proud to have achieved this momentous milestone," said Dr. Goran Klintmalm, chief of transplantation. In 2001, Baylor performed 131 liver transplants.
